My Dark Cove Pantry

I am from Gambo, NL, located on the east coast of Canada, in the middle of the North Atlantic Ocean. My hometown of Gambo was once divided into three smaller communities, known as Middle Brook, Dark Cove & Gambo. I grew up in Dark Cove, and absolutely love to cook and bake, so I thought what better name could there be for my first blog than 'My Dark Cove Pantry'. Even though I now live in Flatrock, and now have a new pantry, it will always be 'My Dark Cove Pantry'.

Bread & Butter Pickles

It's pickle season!!

Of all the pickles I make, I love bread & butter pickles best.

The crunchy cucumbers and all that vinegar--yummy:o)

I love bread and butter pickles! I've never tried to make my own, I'd just end up making a mess and probably not end up with pickles worth eating.

I have never made pickles but someday I should. Our garden is tiny so I can't really plant much in there but I suppose I could buy the cucumbers at the market. Thank you for the recipe!
