My Dark Cove Pantry

I am from Gambo, NL, located on the east coast of Canada, in the middle of the North Atlantic Ocean. My hometown of Gambo was once divided into three smaller communities, known as Middle Brook, Dark Cove & Gambo. I grew up in Dark Cove, and absolutely love to cook and bake, so I thought what better name could there be for my first blog than 'My Dark Cove Pantry'. Even though I now live in Flatrock, and now have a new pantry, it will always be 'My Dark Cove Pantry'.

Random shots from around Newfoundland & Labrador

I've been sorting through the pictures on my computer, and thought this was a beautiful one to share. This shot was taken from the balcony of a cottage we rented for the weekend back a few years ago, in Ferryland, NL.

While in that area, we hiked out to do some bird-watching at the Cape St. Mary's Ecological Reserve. The birds in this shot are gannets. They were making so much noise, it was incredible. There were thousands of them there.

I'm thinking I'd love to go back this summer for another visit.
