Reports on the CBC weather site state that the snowfall started around 5:30 am today. As of 4:30 pm, St. John's airport reported accumulation of 37 cm of snowfall with northerly winds gusting at times to 104 km/hour. Definitely a stay inside kind of day.
I had the day off due to the storm
I made cookies, did laundry, started a new book, drank some wine and had a nap-----What an awesome day!!! I also took a few pictures from the various warm and cozy vantage points inside my house. Looking down to our back garden this morning, it's hard to imagine the grapes and tomatoes that we grow during the summer in that little greenhouse.
All the windows on the front of our house are completely iced up...
At times today, it was not possible to see to the end of the front yard.....
No birds singing in my trees today..
