We get to see a little fog pretty often. I find it quite beautiful, as it rolls in.....
I find it amazing that it can be so bright and sunny in one area, and just a kilometer
or so away, the fog just seems to hover like an umbrella over another area.
It can roll in, and roll back out in minutes.
It is so pretty when you are at a higher elevation and can see the landscape below
and above the patch of fog.
Until today, as I was preparing this post, I did not know that an area of Newfoundland ranked
#1 on the list of "Five Foggiest Places in North America"!
That's right, click here to find out exactly what part of Newfoundland captured the title.
Amazing stuff, that magical, mystical fog.
Cheers
:)
We lived in Grand Falls-Windsor and we didn't get much fog so far inland. Buchans had even less.
ReplyDeleteI hate it when you are fogged in for days though.
I love looking at it, but I sure don't like driving in it.
ReplyDeleteI once heard a presentation on Newfoundland called 'Capes and Fogs and Bogs and Dogs." Maybe all of those ands weren't in there, but that was basically it.
ReplyDeleteI do love a moody fog. It makes for great photography and you certainly have proven that.
ReplyDeleteWhau, that is surely a heavy fog. I do not like to drive in fog but it is so pretty and mystical to look at. Great photos you got there! Happy Mother's Day!!! (This Sunday is Mother's Day here in the US.)
