Berries, anyone??

I was inspired by my blog pal, Ms A today, who has some beautiful photos on her blog at Sarcastic Granny

We are having another dry, hot spell, so I've been watering my berry bushes daily.  They looked so pretty today in the evening sun, I took a few photos.

Here are my gooseberries....

....the red currants........

and....last, but not least, the black currants....

Have a great day everyone!!

  1. Those currents look beautiful; just glistening with the moisture dripping off of them. Great job taking shots of them. My husbands favorite jam btw!

  4. Lovely photographs. My grandmother used to have a row of gooseberry bushes at the end of her garden and she used to make wonderful tasting gooseberry pies and fools with them. I used to go blackcurrant picking with my mother when she worked for the local farmer during the summer holidays. It was a nice bit of pocket money for the holidays but hard work.

    1. Any type of berry-picking is hard work, because it comes with heat and flies...ha ha!!
