My Dark Cove Pantry

I am from Gambo, NL, located on the east coast of Canada, in the middle of the North Atlantic Ocean. My hometown of Gambo was once divided into three smaller communities, known as Middle Brook, Dark Cove & Gambo. I grew up in Dark Cove, and absolutely love to cook and bake, so I thought what better name could there be for my first blog than 'My Dark Cove Pantry'. Even though I now live in Flatrock, and now have a new pantry, it will always be 'My Dark Cove Pantry'.

Quidi Vidi Brewing Company

After a brisk walk around Quidi Vidi Lake, it is nice to drive out into the village and take in the breathtaking view.

The village of Quidi Vidi is like stepping back in time. Here is some shots from the wharf.

The Quidi Vidi Brewing Company offer tours and tastings during the summer season.

That sure is beautiful! Wish someday to visit Canada again. Will keep this place in Mind. We have friends in Hazelton - BC, Swain River and Elmira. Canada is a beautiful country! Great post!

I was scanning through a Zoomer mag from last summer at the doctor's office today. There was a spread on Newfoundland, including a page of photos. The one photo looked very familiar. Sure enough, Quidi Vidi: very similar to the top photo here.
